Oh, already February. Well, time in this board flows differently, so "Happy new year!" to everybody

Hey, yeah. Happy new year! Just got back here because it turns out that Meltdown was created by Terry Hamel, later an additional level designer for Blood. Being an admin for the Blood Wiki, this piquied my interest. Also, I set my Dosbox config to be based on the one GOG ships with Blood, and it makes Pie3D run really nicely. blood-wiki.org/index.php/Terry_Hamel

That's great to hear. I will have to check out those settings.

Interesting trivia. Meltdown is one of the technically more impressive titles using the GCS and I quite enjoyed the (short) experience

Well, I get the impression that both Kevin Stokes of Pie and Scott Miller of 3D Realms were simply trying to recruit names from the Doom community (that is how Jay Wilson, later a head designer on Diablo III, also got involved in Blood). It really was a small world in the FPS scene back then.
