Not sure if anyone is still active enough to see this old place, but does anyone know the whereabouts of:
A. The last version of GCS, version 3.08? Did it come in a patch form for the CD distributed copy of the software?
B. GCNext AI, which I'm unaware of how exactly that was distributed. Was that a separate download or included with the later versions of GCS 3.X?
C. House of Cathalon, which I noticed someone else had asked for that game on this site but it hasn't actually been linked to anywhere which seems a bit strange as it was freely available on the old GCS distribution website.
I'm wanting to get ahold of all this stuff, but especially A and B, out of curiosity to figure out the Windows version of GCS for myself. A version of GCS 3.X is widely available online now, but I can't seem to find any info on the last version of GCS, nor it's GCNext AI addon utility.

A. The CD I have says it installs 3.08, but I also seem to have a standalone exe that has a "3.08 Maintenance Patch". Not sure if anything changes between the two but I can send you the patch if you'd like.
B. My CD installs every add-on including the GCNext AI, all from the same installer. I think you could get it both as an add-on or included in a higher-priced GCSW installation.
C. I think I have the shareware House of Cathalon floating around somewhere, let me know if you're interested and I'll try and track it down.

Oh, we are still around, just expect a few months latency in responses. I was the one who asked for Cathalon, though I never did get it to work on my computer. icculus.org/~graham/Cathalon.zip As for the others, I can not help, as I never used the GCS and have no versions of it. I am just a fancier of such hobby tools and their communities. This is the best that I know of. archive.org/details/pie-gcs-v1_2-v1_3-xp-patch

Yeah we are a lax bunch of GCS fans that just post stuff from time to time. We are hear, like Technopeasent said.

By chance do you think the extras on the CD include GCS menu for Windows...? I remember using the Dos GCS menu and being able to use different graphics for different types of endings or events triggered by Universal registers. For example you get shot or you fall in lava two different images would appear. I'm working with version 1.3 for Windows and I literally just referred to my manual booklet, and in the section about Universal registers it says pie in the sky was developing a Windows menu... I hope they finished it and I hope it's available somewhere.. ugh as well my game is getting fairly large, and I would love the player to be able to load and save games. I'm yet to test Universal register 127 which is end game. But it says a low number would result in the screen fading to red like the player died, and a high number would just end the game. So far the only way my game ends is with a dialog box popping up saying you have died with Death code 1... Kind of a lame ending

I can take a look through my files and see what I have. Thank you so much I know it's one piece of software I did not purchase back in the day so if it is found I'm willing to pay. A thought that went through my mind the other night, as pie-in-the-sky issue things out with product key that you would need to install a product. If GCS menu came with a product key that was for a different registered user than my GCS... I wonder if it would work.

I could not find any information about GCS Menu for Windows. It's been so long I don't know if it even existed. Sorry I could not be more help.
