I've got a few you're looking for. Soooo... I'm the author of Ultimate! and Metalhead. I created these when I was 12 years old and they're, as you might expect... awful. My story is pretty similar to everyone else's. I got the GCS for Christmas with dreams of becoming the next John Romero. This didn't pan out, but it helped set me on a course to become a software designer and developer later in life, so it was a great overall learning experience. Ultimate! 1.3This version is newer than the shovelware version floating around. Not really sure what I was smoking when I made this game. I think it was just an excuse to play with the B&W hand scanner my dad had sitting around, which was pretty hot in 1995 lol. Metalhead 1.0 R2I remember doing some clever GCS tricks in this one, but it's still pretty difficult and confusing. There's a part with rooms-above-rooms and an "enemy" you have to protect instead of kill. A few others from the archives: Terror out of the DeepFinding this one was tricky. It was on an old NiteOwl shovelware CD (24), and the only source I could find for it was a BBS that was still running. Remember those? Took all day to download 2.5mb lol. Worth it though, because I remember this game from back in the day and it is on the better end of the GCS game spectrum. Ninja CommandoesFound this one on a shovelware CD. I wouldn't have known it was GCS except the file was called "p3dninja.zip". Haven't played it.

For the love of God, please tell me that "Metalhead: The Novel" still exists. Web Archive has Slawdog.com but not metalhead.pdf. This is important AS HELL!!

Oh, it exists, but the world will never see it again, lol.
I actually found it... I'm reading it right now, and it's so much worse than I remember.

Hi. New here. The links appear to be broken for many of the uploads on this site. It would be nice if someone was to set up a google drive or something more permanent so that a proper exchange of files could take place. I am an avid collector of old DOS software and have been a contributor to some great database projects over the years. That said, there are plenty of resources for some of the games on your list, if you know where to look. After some scraping on the internet archive, it appears that there are a few GCS games that could be added to your list, although the download links are long gone from the sites that once hosted them. Escape from the Ward (MicroSeth)* Gumby's Violent Adventure (Spigot Software) Hallways of Brutality (MKWON's 3D Gaming) Serial Granny Killah (Spigot Software)* * no links for these games exist, as they may have only been early development models. Initial research shows these to be DOS games, and most likely created with the GCS engine. But, it should be also noted that without obtaining an actual copy of them, they are only potential inclusions as there is no way to confirm their validity, or if the ones noted were ever released at all. Also, the game "Iraqi Scum-Bag" looks like it was eventually updated and renamed to "Desert Raiders", but I haven't been able to determine if the later game was actually released, or if it was a DOS game using the 1.0 Engine. Maybe someone else who has come across it can comment. Lastly, here are a couple of games that I have come across that I thought I would share for the collection: Delusions: www.mediafire.com/file/09iv65azxsnlc4h/Delusions_%281996%29%28U-NEEK_Software%29.zipand Narc: www.mediafire.com/file/twyqmkya62xhcpl/Narc_%281995%29%28Phillip_Posante%29.zipAlso, I did stumble across the data files for Earth Defense, but the archive contains no program files, similar to that of the "North v. Memorial Beta v2" demo that some uploaded earlier. Here it is though, in case it's useful to someone on here that can get it working: www.mediafire.com/file/og87g19rox8zr3l/Earth_Defender_v1.5_%25281999%2529%25283D-Zone%2529_%257BData_files_only%257D.zip/fileHope this helps! And, if you would be so kind as to upload the collection once more, I will thank you in advance. Cheers!

I can send you a version of the archive I have.
I have also updated the wiki with your finds. Have to admit that Hallways of Brutality is a brilliant name for a 90s FPS.

I can send you a version of the archive I have. I would love to have a copy since there were a couple in the list I think I have only broken links now. If you post a new link, that would be awesome!
In the meantime, here are a couple of others for you:
I think that you had actually changed Jim Ball's "Freedom Soldier" to "Attack of the Genetic Bugs", at one time or another. From what I have found, this was actually intended to be a trilogy of games, with the First being "Freedom Soldier", the second was "Attack of the Genetic Bugs", and there was also a part 3, but the author moved onto a new engine I think that was not Pie in the Sky for the final chapter. His games can be downloaded direct from his current page: 3dsoftware-by-jim-ball.itch.io
But, here is a upload of Freedom Soldier 1, if you have problems getting it elsewhere:
And, in case you do not have it: the full release of Astroreptilio

www.mediafire.com/file/6x15zxeqlia2aia/recovered_nvmbeta2.zip - A partially complete copy of North v. Memorial Beta. Appears to have the whole DATA folder but no programs. I was able to get the first area to run by copying the program files from a partially broken copy of "Swallowed!" by the same author I had. www.mediafire.com/file/7rm3zg747itd94t/recovered_dt.zip - A partially complete copy of Deadly Technology. Also no program and I'm not certain the DATA folder is complete either. Looking into what I gotta do to get Adolf-X on the Internet Archive. EDIT: It also seems your list is missing this one, though probably for good reason: Life's Battle I swear the article had a download link but I didn't see it when I just looked it up. I have a copy though so it must have at some point?? I can upload that too since it seems nobody else has that one either. EDIT #2: archive.org/details/AdolfX3D - Adolf-X 3D: The Execution of Hitler archive.org/details/BATTLESH - LifesBattle I created deadly technology... I have it on my computer I played it, short Goofy, the one I was young it was a heck of a lot of fun. I've been searching for the GCS community, covid-19 has me motivated. I would like to share deadly technology But as well I have a project I made back in 2010 with the basic Doss editor... it's actually pretty good and shows how capable that engine was. If this is an active group somebody tell me where and how to upload, looking at the old GCS Community pages, and seen a few pictures brought on the sense of nostalgia,.. Any rate I hope I get a reply I'm not sure if I'm using these forums correct and I am blown away that I did not find a GCS community on Facebook okay.. But literally I have not touched my computer very much for a decade, a little disconnected a little advice would help

Great to see that the efforts to find GCS games has been going on in my absence.
I'll try to update files, lists and download links in the next couple of weeks (got some vacation days coming up).
Unfortunately I've lost my personal game archive and gcs projects I've been working on. There's no hope for the latter, but maybe someone could help me out with the former. I know I've sent my collection to a couple of people, so maybe not all hope is lost.

With the help of many kind people I've managed to get a hold of a bunch of games. Almost 80 have been recovered! Here's the ones that are still MIA: Here's a short list of titles (mostly share-/freeware) that I had in my archive, but couldn't find again: D-Day Demon Elapse GCS Demo levels (different music) GCS Xmas Demo Outnumbered Soren 3D Stop Nick Macki Wing Do
For these games I only have found a partial download. NvM crashes after level 1 and I couldn't get Earth Defender to start at all: Earth Defender North v. Memorial (Beta 2.0)
These are the games from the original missing list, that are still, well, missing: Gangbusters Deluxe Iraqi Scum-Bag Martial Arts Warriors Murk Operation: One Level Quickie Demo Operation Web Power Booster 5000 Project Thunderbird Realms of Evil Return to Ghost Manor Suburbia Squad Zombie World
Any help is greatly appreciated
