So I've run into something of an odd issue while trying to look into 3DGCS and developing for it: while you can get the DOS GCS from a few locations, the Web Archive included, I cannot find a single source that also offers any of the add-ons. I've been searching high and low, including private torrent trackers for retro gaming, and I simply can't find any trade of GCSMenu, the GCS Mega Art Pack, the Industrial Art Pack, or the GCS MIDI Pack. Since you guys seem to be long time users of the system, I figured I'd ask and see if anyone here has copies of them. (Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I couldn't decide between Downloads or Technical Support as this is kinda both but also kinda neither.)

In my e-mails with Kevin Stokes I asked if he would be willing to release the Art Pack under a Creative Commons license (I could use those sprites). He has not gotten back to me, but he is a busy guy and he may get around to it eventually (he has before!).

Looks like Kevin Stokes released a bunch of art: pieintheskysoftware.com/Unfortunately most of it doesn't appear to be Megapack, etc. art, but a lot of it is GCSW related. A majority of the Megapack art was released with the GCSW and I've had some success un-converting it back to DOS GCS. I was able to get the enemies working and most of the art, but a lot of fld animations seem to be missing from ANIM_LIB, and FLCL_LIB seems to have most of the stuff missing. I was also able to find the MIDI Pack songs by scouring a few GCS game data folders. Also, I have a copy of GCS Menu from my old floppy disk. Let me know if you're interested in any of that and I'll send it over.

Chris, good info. I think I still have the jetpack somewhere and It too have the GCS Menu as well. It's nice to see that Kevin is releasing things, here and there, every now and then.

GCS Menu would be invaluable if nothing else, but I definitely would like to get my hands on everything that's been mentioned here. Sorry for the late reply but I kinda forgot about this post when nobody replied for a while, heh.

I do remember years ago seeing something saying upcoming features, jetpack... It was for the GCS W right? Are there any examples of GCS games that utilized it? Thinking of it now you would have to build a level that completely catered to it. If there is an example of a game with it I would love to see it.

I think that was a typo. It was suposed to be "megapack."
I can look through what I've got and if there is any mention of a jetpack.
